Inspiration Board #10: An Apple a Day…

I am a big fan of using fruit with flowers for party decor. From using apples as name cards to candy apples for dessert, anything can be super fun. I have put together some apple pictures to show just what I mean. I hope you like……

Taking it National!

Hi all, so I have traveled down to Park City to plan a wedding down here. Looks like we are taking this wedding planning national! So that said, I didn’t have a ton of time to do today’s post. But I did find this super fun picture!

Inspiration Board #9: Pretty in Pink

The fact that I haven’t done a pink inspiration board yet really speaks to my self control, cause you better believe I have wanted to do one for a while. And just wait because the Valentine’s posts might be a little out of control. But let’s start slow with the Pretty in Pink board. Hope you like!click image to enlarge

Props to Martha

I am sure it comes as no surprise to anyone that I have a ton of gay friends. I am a florist and wedding planner after all. So when I saw that Martha Stewart featured this marriage in her “Real Weddings” section in the Winter 2010 issue, I was so excited. I certainly know a few couples who would love to have a ceremony just like this. And since this is my blog and I get to express my views, I have to say I can’t wait until everyone in our country is equal and can have wonderful wedding just like this. I hope a change comes soon.

Happy Weekend!

I hope you all get out there and do something fun! Have a great weekend!

Can’t ever forget the boys!

So I was looking back at my posts and I realized I have kind of forgotten about the boys. And specifically their attire. We are fortunate here in Sun Valley that the grooms and groomsmen attire can really range from very casual to black tie. I always love it when the guys are wearing the exact same thing, if it is tuxedos or just a button down white shirt and khakis, a unified look is always so handsome! Here are some great examples of all types!

Inspiration Board #8: Purple Passion

I just can’t wait for spring flowers to start blooming, so I thought I would get a jump start and get some spring inspiration going! I love purple and I wish more people would use it in their weddings. It is so easy to make purple look very wild and natural as well as very clean and sophisticated. These pictures will show you just that….

The Getty Villa

This weekend I went with my family to the Getty Villa, in Malibu. This isn’t the giant Getty Museum over looking Los Angeles, this is a smaller museum, in a different location, overlooking the beaches. Here is where Getty chose to put his antiquities collection. And continuing with the tradition of the the big Getty it also has stunning gardens. Now being the person I am and having the job I do, I can’t go any place without thinking about weddings and parties. Now I am not sure if it would ever be possible, but if someone was able to rent the Getty Villa for a wedding, it would be crazy amazing. I can just picture it, the ceremony in the gardens, dinner in the amphitheater and dancing around the giant reflecting pool. Oh how I wish it was possible, a girl can dream…..
