Real Wedding: Carolyn and Ross

I have been waiting for so long to share more of this wedding with all of you.  Last summer, my very good friends Ross and Carolyn got married here in Sun Valley.  And I had the distinct pleasure of not only being their planner and florist, but I was a bridesmaid as well. It was a picture perfect August day in Carolyn’s parents backyard in a grove of aspens, and the wedding was crazy fun, as you can see from the pictures. I was so honored to get to play so many roles in this wedding.  The photographs come from my very good friend and super talented photographer Kirsten Shultz.  Much love to you Carolyn and Ross, hope you are having a blast in Africa!!

A Wedding of Yellow and Gray

I LOVE this wedding! I mean we all know that I am obsessed with short wedding dresses, but the colors of the bridesmaid dresses and flowers are just perfect.   Be even more I love how clean and simple the entire look is.  You have to go over to SMP and see the entire photo gallery.

A Pretty Spring

I know that the rest of the country is having crazy and some scary weather right now.  And I have to say here in Sun Valley, we are no exception.  We have had the coldest spring I have ever seen.  In fact tonight and the rest of the week it is supposed to snow.  I am not a happy camper about this situation.  So I thought theses beautiful spring pictures from Once Wed would help cheer us all up.  Enjoy….

Let’s Move to Holland!

So one of my very favorite blogs is Oh Happy Day!, written by Jordan Ferney, a very talented party planner.  She and her family recently moved to Paris for a year, and it looks like she is getting to have a wonderful time there. A couple weeks ago I showed some pictures of the peonies at a Paris flower market.  Now, here are pictures of the tulip fields in Holland.  Don’t these pictures just make you want to just on a plane and head for Europe?  They are just so gorgeous!

Just in case you missed it yesterday, we were once again published on SMP!!! This was the wedding of Morgan and Bray, two people I enjoy so much!  This wedding was a fun one, but the thing most people didn’t realize was this awesome wedding managed to take place in a field that has no power or water! So remember when planing your wedding, don’t let location get in your way.  If you love a location it can be done!!

As for Morgan and Bray, I love you guys, but even more welcome to the world your handsome little man Brooks!  xoxo

Three Little Bears

Sometimes I need to remind myself that weddings are not the only things I do, and I need to focus on other types of parties too. In fact I really enjoy planning parties of all kinds.  So when I came across this Three Little Bears party from The Sweetest Occasion, I just loved it so much I needed to share it.  Plus now that so many of my friends are having kids, I hope that I will get to do some of these in the near future.

Engaged: Ali and Brett

This summer I am so excited to have Ali and Brett as one of my couples.  These guys are the coolest, and it helps that Brett and I bonded over our love of pork products.  I can’t tell you how excited I am for this wedding because it is going to have the coolest details ever.  I’m not going to spoil it and tell you what they are, but towards the end of July, you will get to see them!  Last weekend Hillary Maybery traveled to SF to shoot these guys engagement pictures, and as always Hillary you rock!!!  Enjoy and happy Friday!

Andrew Kent: Rock and Roll Photogapher

I am so lucky to have the coolest uncle ever. My uncle, Andrew Kent, was one of the premier rock and roll photogragraphers of the 60′s, 70′s and early 80′s.  He shot everyone from David Bowie, Janis Joplin, Elton John, and Kiss just to name a very few.  Well now this killer company Rock Paper Photo, had gathered the worlds best rock and roll photographers and their work, to showcase it for everyone to see. The best part is people can actually purchase numbered prints too.  It is really so cool, you have to check it out.  Here are just a few of my favorite photographers my Uncle took over the span of his career.

An Ivory and Lavender Wedding

Oh this is a good one.  This wedding from Wedding Chicks, is such a perfect early summer wedding.  Really everything about this wedding is stunning from the beautiful bride in her Monique Lhuiller dress, to the amazing florals by Nisie’s Enchanted Florist to photography by the always talented Aaron Delesie.  Just the combination of the ivory and lavender makes this wedding a great one in my book.
