Wagon Days

Well I am from Idaho after all, so it shouldn’t surprise anyone when I tell you about Wagon Days.  Basically it is the worlds largest non-motorized parade in the world. Tens of thousands of people flock to town to watch this on Saturday.  Now I can totally understand why someone who has never seen this parade would love it, however I am going on 34 years of it.  So what will I be doing this Saturday?  Watching football of course!!!!!  GO DUCKS!!!

Beauty in flowers

As you all know, I love me some beautiful table top decor.  But when you have a beautiful table paired up with amazing flowers, it makes me, over the moon, happy! So when I came across this post from Junebug Wedding, I just had to share.  These flowers are some of my very favorites; peonies, hydrangea. fern shoot, etc, it just doesn’t get better then that!

Real Wedding: Dayna and Tommy

This July, I has the very distinct honor of planning and designing the decor for Danya and Tommy. And I know I say this every time, and every time I mean it; but I LOVE this couple!!! They are so much fun, and their friends are so much fun, and they made the planning process so unbelievably enjoyable.  I thank you both so much for being wonderful.

Their wedding took place on a beautiful day in July at a private home north of town.  Their only requirement was that this was a super fun party that just paused for a second to have some vows thrown in there.  Well I think and hope that is what I was able to give them and I am also pretty sure they drank this town out of LP Champagne and Rose! So here I present to you the beautiful pictures from the talented Thia Konig……

Fall is in the air…

Yesterday my boyfriend and I took a trip up north of town, and the feel of fall was very much in the air.  The guys who cut wood are getting ready to work, the air is cold in the mornings, and the trees have a few different colors starting to show up.  So in honor of that fall feeling, I thought this photo shoot from Ruffled, would be perfect. How much do you love the bride in the flannel shirt?!?

Everyone Loves a Circus

Okay, I am not sure I could find anyone who would want this for their wedding, but maybe a party.  Regardless, this circus themed post from WedLuxe is CRAZY amazing! The details are unbelievable, the cakes are a work of art, and the food looks like something out of a cartoon.  I would kill to have a client who wanted something like this.

A Little Break from the Heat and Smoke

It is no secret that I am not a fan of cold weather, and that I will always choose the beach over snow.  However, here in our little town in the middle of Idaho, we are surrounded by huge, out of control, forest fires.  And because of that, it is way hotter then normal and the smoke is so bad you can’t even see the mountain a few blocks away. Unfortunately it looks like these fires won’t go out until the snow flies, so in hopes of some kind of precipitation I bring you a winter wedding.  Yes its totally off season, but man, I need a change of pace from the summer heat, and this wedding from Green Wedding Shoes does just the trick!!
