Whenever we send out invitations, holiday cards, and thank you cards I like to do something fun with the envelopes. They are the first thing your recipient sees so why not wow them! This past Christmas I think more people commented our envelopes then the actually holiday card. Here are a few cards that have inspired some of our most recent envelopes!
This fall wedding photo shoot from Once Wed is so amazing and in my opinion the PERFECT fall wedding. The locations is beautiful, the flowers are gorgeous, I love the gold calligraphy, really it is just over all amazing. And the get away car?!? Who wouldn’t die to have that?
Yes it’s Monday again, and I thought the best way to start off the week would be with a super fun and colorful wedding shoot from Ruffled blog and Simply Savannah Events. This shoot is so incredibly creative and whimsical. I am really digging all of the paper details, but my favorite is the origami shapes for a back drop, that would be so much fun for any weddings. And I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the color detail at the bottom of her dress. no it might not be for everyone, but you could certainly take a hint from it and have a color petticoat under your dress for that occasional little bit of color. Enjoy the week everyone!
I am sure everyone had fantasies about other careers they might have had. Well I have two different ones. The first being the owner of a really great bookstore. The other would be to own a paper store. And my very favorite one is Urbanic, in Venice, CA. This paper store is sooooo cool, just check out these pictures. And also if you are down on Abbot Kinney Boulevard, visiting Urbanic, then you have to also pop into Floral Art, one of the best flower shops in LA!
I love this wedding from SMP. And the reason I love it so much is because this couple did something out of the ordinary! The black and white writing and signs are so very cool. I am always a huge fan of typography. And you know what else makes this wedding even more cool? They included delicious cheese with dessert, always an excellent plan in my opinion!
Lately we have been designing a lot of menus for parties and weddings, and there are so many ways to have fun with this! These are a few of my favorite ones right now…
Sometimes people make a wedding shower way too cutesie for my taste. Too much pastel, sweets, and females all in one place tends to put me on overload. But this brunch from the Sweetest Occasion, is just perfect. Nothing to overly fru fru, just a perfect amount of girly detail. I love the invitations and the honey details.
This wedding from Grey Likes Weddings, has it all: sand, style, and great details. First the sand, we all know how I feel about beach weddings so we don’t need to go into that. Style, check out her dress, hair, and make up, but even better, how good does the groom look?! And finally the details. I love the use of garden roses and dahlias, so pretty. And the stationary throughout, is perfect! All around I just love it!
I have always had a secret wish to own a paper store. There is nothing I love more then great greeting cards, invitations, wrapping paper, you name it, I love it. So I have to say I really love the store and the blog of Parcel Post. Now if I had a store it would totally look like this….
I am always talking with my brides about how you want continuity through out the wedding, or for lack of a better term, brand your wedding. Be it a monogram, color, image, anything, you just want something that starts with the SAVE THE DATE and ends the day after the wedding. This little post from the Wedding Chicks, shows exactly how to do that. You see the gift bag tags, the invitations, and the wine, all tied back to the location of the wedding, in this case an aquarium. Check it out.
