A Pretty Day
I am not sure what it is about this wedding from, A Paper Proposal, but it reminds me a bit of a modern day Father of the Bride. It is so beautiful and so elegant, I just can’t stand it! I love the flowers, especially the use of the orchids under the glass domes, and the use of magnolia leaves. But the very best element is the vintage clip on earrings used for the name cards. Oh so pretty….

Over the weekend I had a meeting with one of my future brides, and I am so excited about her upcoming wedding. The decor is going to be beautiful vintage, incorporating yellows, whites, and pinks. As well as lace, vintage dishes, and amazing desserts. So this inspiration board was with that wedding in mind.
Row #1: butterfly and ring, paper bouquet, corsage
Row#2: lemoncello, vintage dishes
Row #3: wedding cake, flower escort cards, vintage wedding dress

How was your Fourth of July? I am very happy to say that I managed a rodeo, a parade, fireworks, and the lake! I do have to admit that I am on a bit of red, white and blue overload. So that being said, I thought this vintage Alabama wedding would be a perfect way to start off the week. I love this wedding from Ruffled blog. The bride is beautiful, the flowers are great, and the pictures are stunning! Really this one speaks for itself.
A Vintage Wedding Lunch
Ohh I’m loving this inspiration shoot featured on Postcards and Pretties. I really like how they took this vintage look and put it up against what looks like mountains in Arizona. Very cool! And check out that cake too….

Ohhhhhh how I love this wedding from Stephanie Williams Photography. It is such a great vintage wedding, but as a florist, I love all of the flowers they used. By no means to you have to stick with the same arrangement on each table, and this wedding shows just that. It is way more fun to use different flowers and containers to create fun looks and different textures. And all the different lanterns, I just love lanterns!

I love these pictures from 100 Layer Cake. Check out the spoons on the cake, very cool. One of these days I would love to do an Alice in Wonderland themed party and that giant tea cup would be perfect!
Just the begining….
Didn’t I tell you the pictures from our photo shoot were amazing!?! Get the first look on Hillary Maybery’s website and then next week I will have even more pictures of the shoot.

I love, love, love this wedding from Snippet & Ink. It is so simple and elegant, and it makes me wish we didn’t always have to use tents here in Ketchum. The large farm tables and the hanging chandeliers, are just the best!
Make it personal…
I tell all of my brides and grooms, the most important part about a wedding it to make it personal and have fun with it. A wedding should reflect the couples tastes and interest, and of course the wedding should be fun. It is a party after all, and there is nothing fun about a boring wedding. This UK wedding from Frenchie & Flea, is exactly what I am talking about. The flags, the rain boots, classic cars and buses, everything, it’s just so much fun!
