What better way to start a Tuesday morning, then with dessert! Now if only this spread was in my office. But really, how gorgeous is this dessert photo shoot from Grey Likes Weddings? It is so beautiful, and would be perfect for any wedding ever, but especially for a winter wedding.

And here I thought spring was on its way, and then the snow comes again! So I guess it just means we need some more winter weddings. This wedding from Ruffled, is great. I love how it mixes a winter wedding, which can tend to be more vintage, with a really cool contemporary location. People get creative with your wedding locations, it so much more fun!

As much as I would like it to be not true; we are still in the middle of winter. So I guess I should embrace it and continue showing off how beautiful winter weddings can be. This wedding from 100 Layer Cake is beautiful and even has a bit of a French inspired feel. I love how amazing the tables look.

I think when most people picture winter weddings, darker colors probably come to mind, but that certainly doesn’t need to be so! Just look at this wedding from Snippet & Ink. Between the combination of white orchids and flowers, the oranges, and the air plants, they have created a beautiful winter style with out the heaviness of dark winter colors. This flower scheme with tons of candles would just about be the prettiest thing ever!
A Little Break from the Heat and Smoke

It is no secret that I am not a fan of cold weather, and that I will always choose the beach over snow. However, here in our little town in the middle of Idaho, we are surrounded by huge, out of control, forest fires. And because of that, it is way hotter then normal and the smoke is so bad you can’t even see the mountain a few blocks away. Unfortunately it looks like these fires won’t go out until the snow flies, so in hopes of some kind of precipitation I bring you a winter wedding. Yes its totally off season, but man, I need a change of pace from the summer heat, and this wedding from Green Wedding Shoes does just the trick!!
Real Wedding: Amy and Jonny
This winter I was very fortunate to plan and do the decor for Amy and Jonny’s wedding. This one was fun to plan since Amy was in London and we got to play the time change game all the time, and in fact we never even met in person till the day before the wedding! These guys had a super fun time while they were here, you could find them all week at all the fun spots in town. Have I mentioned how much I love doing winter weddings? You can see from these amazing pictures from Kirsten Shultz how much fun was had. And guys in kilts? Such a big yes for me!! Thank you Amy, Jonny and your family, I had a great time working with you.

Well it is finally Friday, and I have one of the biggest weddings of my life this weekend! I have to say I am pretty excited, the wedding is taking place outside in a clear tent in the middle of a snow field. It is going to be great, and I can’t wait to share the pictures.
